The South African government introduced the “visa holiday” for several countries, including UK, EU, USA, Australian film crews, entering South Africa for 90 days or less for tourism or business purposes, to boost the local film industry and attract more international productions. This move was part of efforts to stimulate economic recovery after COVID-19, as the pandemic severely impacted tourism and entertainment sectors.

By temporarily waiving visa requirements, South Africa made it easier and more cost-effective for UK-based productions to shoot in the country, increasing foreign investment, creating jobs for local crew members, and promoting South Africa as a prime filming destination.

For remote shoots, SANHU offers a fully equipped tented camp with kitchen and bathroom facilities. Designed to accommodate up to 8 – 10 crew members, the camp provides all necessary amenities to ensure maximum comfort in even the most challenging locations.

Whether filming in a city or a remote setting, we also provide catering services. Given the long hours on set, we understand that crews prefer not to dine out every day. That’s why we offer three wholesome meals a day, along with snacks on location, ensuring everyone stays energized and well-fed.
